Llanymynech Wharf Visitor Centre

A community-run facility which welcomes visitors and tourists to the “international parish” of Llanymynech. Besides light refreshments, the centre provides displays and exhibitions about the canal, Heritage Area and other local places of interest to the visitor. Guided tours can be arranged, there is a picnic area and the village has a variety of places to eat.  The Centre is managed by the ‘Duchess Countess’ Trust


The wharf visitor centre will be open every Sunday
from Easter to the end of September, 1.30 – 4.30 p.m.

and also Bank Holidays until October 11.00 – 4.00 p.m.

Come for a half-hour cruise along the canal,

find interesting gifts from our collection of local crafts,
or just drop in for a cup of tea.
