Llanymynech Wharf Visitor Centre

A community-run facility which welcomes visitors and tourists to the “international parish” of Llanymynech. Besides light refreshments, the centre provides displays and exhibitions about the canal, Heritage Area and other local places of interest to the visitor. Guided tours can be arranged, there is a picnic area and the village has a variety of places to eat.  The Centre is managed by the ‘Duchess Countess’ Trust

The wharf visitor centre will be open again from 3 April, 2 – 4.30

and then every Sunday and Bank Holiday until October 2.00 – 4.30 p.m.

Come for a half-hour cruise along the canal,

find interesting gifts from our collection of local crafts,

or just drop in for a cup of tea.

SPECIAL EASTER EVENT

Easter Eggscursions 3, 4, 5 April 2 pm – 4.30 pm

Llanymynech Wharf Visitor Centre, Llanymynech, Oswestry, Shropshire

Take a half-hour Easter cruise on the Montgomery Canal aboard the ‘George Watson Buck’. Adults £4, children £2.50, Family (2 + 2) £10

Wear an Easter bonnet and qualify for a gift.
