Since 1999, the various organisations who have an involvement in the Llanymynech Heritage Area have come together under the umbrella organisation of the Llanymynech Heritage Partnership. The Partnership is made up of organisations who own or lease the grounds and bodies which have an interest in the area.

Through this joint working and sharing of knowledge and projects, steady co-ordinated progress has been made over the years. That is not to say that nothing was done before 1999, but certainly there has been an increased pace and holistic sense of purpose to the restoration, interpretation and preservation of the whole area. 

The Llanymynech Heritage Partnership is made up of representatives from the following organisations:

BRITISH WATERWAYS
The national authority for inland waterways.

CAMBRIAN RAILWAY TRUST
The Cambrian Railway Trust promotes the tradition of the Cambrian Railway and has a station at nearby Llynclys.

CARREGHOFA COMMUNITY COUNCIL
Carreghofa Community Council covers the part of Llanymynech which is in Wales and is the equivalent of the English Parish Council

 COMMUNITY COUNCIL OF SHROPSHIRE
An organisation which provides support for a wide range of charity and voluntary work in Shropshire

LAFARGE AGGREGATES
Owners of the greater part of Llanymynech Hill and operators of a quarry at Llynclys.

LLANYMYNECH GOLF CLUB
A course with splendid views as it sits on the top of the hill and straddles two countries.

LLANYMYNECH HERITAGE FOCUS GROUP
Encourages greater awareness of the natural and industrial heritage of the area.

LLANYMYNECH HISTORICAL SOCIETY
A group of enthusiasts organising talks, meetings and outings.

LLANYMYNECH VILLAGE HALL
Situated on the other side of the canal from the heritage area and recently improved its facilities including a ‘broadplace’ [community ICT centre]

MONTGOMERY WATERWAY RESTORATION TRUST
An organisation which does much in the restoration of the Monty.

MONTGOMERYSHIRE WILDLIFE TRUST
The wildlife trust which covers the old Welsh county.

OSWESTRY BORDERLAND TOURISM
An association for the tourism industry in the area.

OSWESTRY BOROUGH COUNCIL
The district council for the town of Oswestry and the surrounding [English] parishes.

PANT MEMORIAL INSTITUTE
The community hall in Pant built as a memorial to those who gave their lives in the first world war.

POWYS COUNTY COUNCIL
Covers one-quarter of Wales including one-half of Llanymynech.

SHROPSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
Took over the ownership [and responsibilities!] of the area around the Hoffman kiln from the Bradford Estate.

SHROPSHIRE UNION CANAL SOCIETY
Known as SUCS and active in practical canal restoration throughout Shropshire

SHROPSHIRE TOURISM
Represents tourism across the county.

SHROPSHIRE WILDLIFE TRUST
Based in Shrewsbury and manages several sites in the area.
