 AUGUST 2019

School summer holidays are nearly here.  If you are looking for an activity for your youngsters, look no further than Llanymynech Wharf Visitor Centre (SY22 6EA).  We are offering FREE hour boat trips along the Montgomery Canal for children on the five Fridays in August providing that they are accompanied by an appropriate adult (Adult tickets 4).

The boat trips will be at 1.45, 2.30 and 3.15 pm (dogs welcome). Booking is recommended from Liz 01691 828165

While you're here why not explore the Limeworks Heritage Area? There are acres of woodland and meadows to roam. Go through the tunnel under the road and up the incline on to Llanymynech Rocks. See the remains of this once-thriving lime industry, including the impressive Hoffmann kiln (one of only 3 remaining in the country and the only one to still have its chimney).
A great place for a picnic and for walking your dog
